Information & Requirements

  • 50% of the course cost is required to confirm registration. The remaining balance is due on the course date.
  • As with all classes at the Esthetic Institute, students are expected to arrive in school uniform, which is professional attire appropriate for the spa/esthetic environment (jeans, sneakers, and sweats/hoodies are NOT considered professional attire). A White Lab Jacket is required (available for purchase at Beauty Depot) and please bring a pair of indoor soft soled shoes. Please be prepared to pull back long hair.
  • Please bring with you the following to class: paper, pen, pencil, highlighter.
  • Models are required on the following days & times (model is needed for roughly 1 hour):

    Evening Class (5pm to 9pm)

    Evening 3 – 5:30pm to 6:30pm (Model 1)
    Evening 5 – 6:15pm to 7:15pm (Model 2 - Practical Exam)
    No models are required on Evenings 1, 2 and 4. Students work on each other.

    Your model on Evening 3 can be anyone you wish. Your model on Evening 5 should be younger (between ages of 18 and 40 is ideal). Please ask your models not to wear makeup the day of the class. Also, students should not wear makeup during the program, as you will be working on each other.

    Weekend Class (Friday-Sunday)

    Day 1 No model required (Students will work on each other)
    Day 2 1:45pm to 2:45pm (Model 1)
    Day 3 2:30pm to 3:30pm (Model 2 - Practical Exam)

    Your first model can be anyone you wish. Your second model (practical exam) should be younger (between ages of 18 and 40 is ideal). Please ask your models not to wear makeup the day of the class. Also, students should not wear makeup during the program, as you will be working on each other.
  • Your model on Day 2 can be anyone you wish. Your model on Day 3 should be younger (between ages of 18 and 40 is ideal). Please ask your models not to wear makeup the day of the class. Also, students should not wear makeup during the program, as you will be working on each other.
  • A Model fee of $5.00 is applicable for each of your models and will be collected by your instructor when models arrive. Please ensure that your model has correct change. Cash only please.
  • Please note: There will be an in-class theory exam on day 3.
  • You will be provided with a student brush set which you will use in class. Product and disposables for class use will be provided, as well some products to help you start your professional kit.
  • On the first day of class, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time to allow for check-in and payment. On subsequent days, please ensure that you are here on time and prepared for class. If you are unable to be on time for whatever reason, you are expected to call and notify your instructor prior to class start time. If you are unable to get through to the main line, you may leave a message at ext 226. If you are more than 30 minutes late without prior notice, you will need to reschedule the entire class with our Education Director. A rescheduling fee of $175.00 will apply.
  • You will receive a 30 minute lunch break. A bagged lunch can be brought. Please note, smoking is only permitted at the side of the building.
  • Please park your vehicle on the West side of the building. Please ensure you have picked up your parking pass (from The Esthetic Institute) and that it is in your vehicle in a visible location.
  • All class and workshop dates are subject to change. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any class.
  • Lash Extension Wearers: (STUDENTS AND MODELS) each student will be practicing with gel liners, mascara and lash band/glue, these might harm your extensions we highly suggest you do not get extensions done / or a brand new fill prior to our classes as we will proceed and practice over top your extensions. We cannot guarantee your lashes will be safe, so we advise arriving lash extension free for any of our makeup classes.
